Fitzgerald Marine Reserve: Seal Cove Staircase

First day of site work on the Seal Cove Staircase.

The County has not adequately explained why they spent over $60,000. on the interpretive sculpture prototype. Public outcry over the design of the sculpture led to shelving the project. Fortunately the County was able to shift the grant funding for the interpretive sculpture to the long anticipated Seal Cove Staircase. This important project will provide safe public access to Seal Cove Beach and the FMR tide pools.

The County may need allot of assistance and input when designing a world class interpretive facility and its up to the community (the public process) to insure that we don't have another costly misstep.
